Regional Arts Foundation’s vision is to develop The Stages at Northstar – a
unique facility where traditional and new works in visual and performing arts
will be created and presented to attract visitors from around the world. Due to
its exceptional design, dynamic venues, superior acoustical qualities,
compelling programming and LEED certification, The Stages at Northstar will be
recognized as the go-to cultural facility in the greater Tahoe region.
As an incubator
for the Arts, The Stages at Northstar will be a learning center for youth and
adults through collaboration with local arts organizations, schools, and the
community college, as well as a home for the development of new creative works.
In a class with
performing arts facilities at other top-tier mountain towns, The Stages at
Northstar will attract travelers and residents alike, producing a substantial
positive year-round economic impact to Northstar California Resort and the
greater Tahoe region.
The Mission of
the Tahoe Regional Arts Foundation (a 501©3 non-profit corporation) is to
design, fund, construct, operate and sustain a nationally recognized complex of
visual and performing arts venues at Northstar California Resort in North Lake
Tahoe. The Stages at Northstar is designed as a signature facility featuring a
main theater, scene shop, black box theatre, large outdoor amphitheater and
studio space for visual artists. The Stages at Northstar will serve as a
crucible for new and local works and as the premiere arts education performance
venue in the region. Founded on the core belief that the lively arts are
fundamental to societal evolution, The Stages at Northstar will serve as a
leader dedicated to presenting, producing and fostering local artists work as well
as serving audiences with works from around the globe.
